Peer Review of Teaching (Menu of Options)

Peer Review of Teaching refers to participation of colleagues in the development and evaluation of one's teaching activities. This peer review of teaching website, developed by a team of faculty at UW-Madison is intended to help instructors clarify their purposes for participating in peer review, and design a program that meets those purposes. In addition, the site provides a Menu of Options (MOO) for peer review.

Peer Mentoring

The UW-Teaching Academy's Teaching Ideas Network is intended to link instructors together for the purpose of consultation about teaching practices.

Short Courses

Visit the UW Teaching Academy short-course "Exam Question Types and Student Competencies." This course examines the kinds of question types that are best for assessing desired student learning and comprehension. Through informed selection of test questions, you can ensure a more accurate evaluation of how well your students have mastered course material.

NSF Short Courses for College Teachers are available at: http://www.chautauqua.pitt.edu.
These courses provide an excellent way to improve your courses and meet other participants from many different institutes of higher education from around the country.
