What I wanted:
Providing context to the skills and knowledge first-year DPT students learned duing their second semester of Physical Therapy school.
What I tried
We limited traditional lectures, created experiences at the Simulation Center and standardized patients, provided videos for some pscyho motor skills, and built a clinical case scenario. We have implemeted these activities over time with feedback from students and students in addition to Blend@UW faculty.
Next time I would…
We continue to change learning experiences as we move through the semester. I am unsure if we are close, or if we will ever be close to “perfection!”
